“So… do we try to get #FreeSamAndColby trending?” another person asked.

Sam and Colby were released on January 17, 2019, according to Hollywood Life. On the same day, they sent out a series of tweets to reassure frightened supporters.

“I just wanted to let you know that we are both safe and well, and I apologize for any concern.” Colby’s bond has now been paid for (he will be freed soon), and we should both be back in California tomorrow,” Sam tweeted.

“It’s not a good idea to go to jail wearing a Justin Bieber shirt.” But I’m fine. “I adore you guys,” Colby added.

In an earlier interview with Metro, the stars described the experience as a ‘gift in disguise.’

“It forced us to change the way we do content, which greatly improved our channel.” “We were forced to make a change rather than do something we weren’t really comfortable with,” Sam told the site.

The arrest caused the stars to reconsider their working ways. They formed a new specialist team and became more cautious about entering fenced-in buildings. Some fans, however, were unable to recover from the shock. #FreeSamandColby was trending on Twitter again on January 17, 2020.

Some thought the trending hashtag meant the boys were in danger again. According to some Twitter users, the hashtag gained popularity because it marked the one-year anniversary of Sam and Colby’s arrest.
