Why Did Teddi Leave Bachelor in Paradise

No one was more startled by Teddi Wright’s stunning exit from Bachelor in Paradise than Andrew Spencer, with whom the contestant had a brief flirtation on the beach. Continue reading to know the answer to the question, ‘Why Did Teddi Leave Bachelor in Paradise?’

She returned for season eight of Bachelor in Paradise after being eliminated during week seven but quit during the second week.

Why Did Teddi Leave Bachelor in Paradise?

When Teddi made her Bachelor in Paradise debut, fans were excited, and her relationship with Andrew Spencer gave them optimism that they would go all the way.

She did, however, opt to self-eliminate after the first rose ceremony.

“I want to get married and have children….” “I want to go home and move past this and find that person,” she confessed on the October 4 episode, according to US Weekly.

“I’m terribly sorry. I just want to get out of here. I know you wanted me to find love here, and I understand, but I’m just not. I’d like to go. I’m not going in there and saying good-by to everyone.”

While she has not specifically stated why she departed the beach, she did post a cryptic Instagram post shortly before her departure, implying that the production was a factor in her decision.

“Something I’m pleased to learn is: 1. Leaving circumstances that are harmful to me and those around me. 2. being true to my limits no matter how many times people in positions of authority try to push them,” she captioned the photo.

“Excited for this next chapter and what the rest of the year will bring.”

Teddi has not elaborated on the claimed “cruel” environment as of this writing.

Why Did Teddi Wright Break Up With Andrew Spencer?

Teddi and Andrew both expressed their eagerness to meet in Mexico before filming began. Teddi, on the other hand, told the former football player that she wasn’t as invested as she had planned.

“I’ve been struggling with why I haven’t been as affectionate,” she said to Andrew in private. “In a relationship, I want to give that.” That is something I believe you deserve in a relationship. I’m not sure why I’m not doing it.”

What Did Andrew Spencer Say About Teddi?

While Andrew and Teddi’s romance was brief, he was ultimately crushed after her departure.

After she left, he sought to find love with co-stars Brittany Galvin, Jessenia Cruz, and Ency Abedin, but later in the season, he admitted that his heart still belongs to Teddi.

“My heart belongs to someone else.” “Teddi,” he informed Jessenia about their doomed affair, according to Newsweek.

“That is the cause. I don’t have anything here. I tried with you and Ency, Brittany. I can’t move forward unless I have clarity, which I don’t have. I couldn’t bring myself to feel something wild [for someone].”

Andrew then left the show following the chat.

“I knew what I came here for, and I lost it in the first four days,” he subsequently explained.

“Love is the most powerful thing in the world, and sharing it with someone you can’t live without is what I’m going for.”

“I wasn’t there entirely. I needed to reach the standard I set with Teddi, which no one could match. “I felt like I was never the same after she left.”

Teddi has not yet responded to Andrew’s unexpected confession.

How Can I Watch Bachelor in Paradise?

Season eight can be seen live on ABC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.

The show is also available on Hulu.

Final Thoughts

After breaking up with Andrew, it was reasonable to expect Teddi to run right into the arms of the freshly arrived Rodney.

That, however, was not the case. Quite the contrary, in fact.

“I came here to meet Andrew, but it didn’t work out, so now I want to go,” Teddi explained as she packed her belongings. “I want to marry, have children, and fall in love with someone.” I want to show them affection. But I don’t think it’ll happen here right now.”
