But why did this happen? Read on to find out.

How Successful was the Florida Georgia Line?

Back in 2012, a powerful musical duo called Florida Georgia Line burst onto the scene. They didn’t stick to just one genre, blending country music with something special. Their songs quickly climbed the charts and stayed there for a whole decade!

They’ve had an incredible 19 number-one singles, and their music has been streamed over 17 billion times around the world. On top of that, they’ve sold a whopping 4.8 million albums!

But that’s not all. Florida Georgia Line made history by becoming the only country artists to earn two RIAA Diamond certifications.

Their songs “Cruise” and “Meant to Be,” featuring Bebe Rexha, were certified a remarkable 14 times platinum. These guys sure know how to make music that people love!

Why Did Florida Georgia Line Break Up?

Earlier this year, Florida Georgia Line, the country duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, sparked speculation about their partnership when Hubbard and his wife briefly unfollowed Kelley and his wife on Instagram.

This happened during a politically charged period, with Hubbard supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, while Kelley expressed different views. However, both Hubbard and Kelley clarified that the unfollowing incident was not a sign of a breakup.

In an interview, Hubbard explained that he temporarily unfollowed Kelley to avoid political content, but they remain close friends and partners. Kelley confirmed that they are on good terms and working together on their upcoming album and tour.

They laughed off the rumors, emphasizing their strong bond and commitment. Despite facing challenges, they have sought therapy and worked to strengthen their friendship.

Florida Georgia Line recently signed a touring deal and is looking forward to releasing their fifth studio album. They appreciate their fans’ support and are excited about the future. The duo’s dedication to their music and partnership remains unwavering.

Is Florida Georgia Line Finished as a Duo?

Since late 2020, people have been speculating about a possible split between Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line.

In early 2021, the duo posted a video where they mentioned their plans to pursue solo projects while still working on music together as FGL. Shortly after, in February 2021, they released their fifth album, “Life Rolls On.”

A year later, Brian Kelley spoke to People magazine and clarified the state of their partnership. He made it clear that they were not going their separate ways, but rather taking a break from recording music as a duo.

They wanted to explore their individual artistic endeavors. They both enjoyed the creative process and had started writing separately a couple of years ago, working with different songwriters.

During this time, Kelley released his debut solo album, “Sunshine State of Mind,” in 2021. In January, Hubbard also released his self-titled solo debut album. These solo projects added to the interest surrounding the status of their partnership.

Final Thoughts

The speculation about their partnership intensified when Hubbard was interviewed by Rolling Stone to mark the release of his solo album in January.

Fans and observers were curious to know more about the dynamic between the two and what it meant for the future of Florida Georgia Line.
